| Description | The seminar has a double goal: to explore religious topics in Gogol, Dostoevsky, and Tolstoy through the lens of the Russian thinkers of the Silver Age who broadly commented on these writers, and to examine how various religious dilemmas dramatized in the works of Gogol, Dostoevsky, and Tolstoy prompted the Silver Age search for Unity (the concepts of Sobornost', Godmanhood, Theurgy, Intuitive Knowledge, and Sacred Corporeality). |
