Title | Explaining Values |
Description | The seminar will consider what values are, and what it takes to be a valuing creature. It will examine how inter-personal relations are permeated by evaluative understandings of agency and responsibility, and consider what implications this has for social institutions, such as criminal justice. We will discuss how philosophical, scientific and historical considerations are variously relevant to theses issues, examining the usefulness of an interdisciplinary perspective. |
