Title: Advanced Tonal Analysis
Description: The seminar will focus on short works by Chopin, Schumann and Schubert, songs and piano pieces. The goal will be to gain a better understanding of their varied uses of chromatic harmony. We will also study the formal aspects of pieces, individually as well as in larger contexts.
Prerequisites: MUS 106 or equivalent.
