Title: Tonal Syntax
Description: MUS 206 begins by making relevant connections between the modal counterpoint of the 16th century (studied in MUS 205) and tonality as it evolved in the 18th century. Fundamental tonal concepts will then be explored in later music including Chopin and Brahms.
Prerequisites: MUS 205 or Permission of Instructor.
