Title | Mechanics of Dissipative Media |
Description | The development of constitutive equations for nonlinear, anisotropic viscoelastic, and plastic media. It gives analysis of plastic yielding, fatigue under cyclic loading, and failure. The course examines limit-analysis techniques; elastoplastic rate equations; finite deformation of plastic bodies; uniqueness and stability of incremental solutions; and loss of ellipticity, bifurcation phenomena, and emergence of shear bands. Poromechanics will be discussed. |
