Description: This course will provide a broad overview to modern astronomy and astrophysics for students in the sciences. Topics include historical developments; overview of the solar system; the structure and evolution of stars; supernovae, neutron stars and black holes; formation, structure and evolution of galaxies; cosmology and the early universe; and life in the universe.
