Title | Cities of the 21st Century |
Description | This course will examine different crises confronting cities in the 21st century. Topics will range from immigration, to terrorism, shrinking population, traffic congestion, pollution, energy crisis, housing needs, water wars, race riots, extreme weather conditions, war and urban operations. The range of cities will include Los Angeles, New Orleans, Paris, Lagos, Caracas, Havana, New York, Hong Kong, Baghdad among other cities. |
Prerequisites | ARC 203 or ARC 303 is recommended background. Sophomores that are interested in enrolling in this course must have an interview with the instructor to be arranged after the first class. Sophomore enrollment will be limited to 10 students. |
