Course introduces important issues of conventional force planning and military decision making and includes discussion of service cultures, doctrines, capabilities, and limitations. Broadly covers strategy, planning, readiness, force projection, employment, and logistics throughout the spectrum of conflict, including conventional war, the global war on terrorism and peacekeeping operations. Through theoretical and doctrinal readings and examination of selected case studies, course provides background essential for those involved in the study and practice of national security decision making. |
