Title: Topics in Policy Analysis (Half-Term): Health and Nutrition in Developing Countries

Description: Human growth has been described as "a mirror of society" in that the process of growth and development is exquisitely sensitive to environmental factors. This course will be aimed at the non-biologist and will cover biology of growth and examination of critical periods of susceptibility to environmental insult. Other topics will be impact of social and economic factors, nutritional and epidemiological transition, and child growth in relation to health and disease in developing countries.
