Title | Economic Analysis of Development (Basic) |
Description | Introduction to the processes of economic growth and development. The course examines various theories of development; poverty and inequality measurement; and the role of markets for credit, labor and land, as well as education and health, in development. The role of public policy will be considered within each of these topics. The course may also cover topics such as foreign aid, commodity pricing, and tax policy. (Prerequisites: 511b; 512b can be taken concurrently.) |
